Opportunity Development Cooperative
In-Person Workshop

In cooperation with the Alberta Community &
Co-operative Association, we are hosting an
in-person 3 hour workshop for those
interested in learning about the formation of
an Opportunity Development Cooperative in
our region (Calmar, Devon, Thorsby and
Warburg).

The cooperative will explore strategies on
how to raise capital to safely invest in local
businesses and development projects. These
projects will revive areas in our community
and could address issues around vacancies,
out-migration, run down spaces, job creation
and more.

This workshop is designed for community
members who want to help research the
initiative and invest locally, business owners,
potential investors, and people interested in
the growth of the region.
