Recognition Wall

Community In Bloom President Kim Yachimetz and Vice President Janice Balaban present Mayor Wally Yachimetz an Award granted by CIB Alberta to the Town of Calmar, for the Memorial Wall erected in recognition of Canada’s 150th Birthday and honouring residents in our Community, Past, Present and Future! Thank you to the many people who contributed to the Wall’s planning for the Community of Calmar!

Calmar’s Community in Bloom, Calmar’s Economic Development Committee, Calmar’s Recreation Board and The Town of Calmar have joined together in the building of a “Recognition Wall” in Woodland Park.

Businesses and residents will be able to purchase a plaque in recognition of contributions, past and present, made to the community.

The cost is $50.00 per plaque. There is a choice of 1 of 3 symbols to be placed on the left side. The plaque holds 3 lines of writing with 20 characters per line including spaces.

Plaques can be purchased through the town office using this order form. Samples of the plaque are available to view at the town office. All plaques will be ordered and mounted by the town.

There will be a dedication ceremony and unveiling at 11:00AM on July 1, 2017 at Woodland Park. Everyone is welcome!
